VECHAIN / PLATFORM & INCENTIVES
Make useful actions easy to verify and worth repeating.
I led the initial product work for VeBetter with a small team of engineers and designers. We set a 60-day limit for the first release and built a weekly cycle for actions, verification, rewards, and allocation.

50+ ecosystem apps
01 / THE PROBLEM
What needed to change.
Different sustainability apps needed different verification methods. The network still needed a consistent way to record activity and allocate rewards.
02 / THE WORK
Decisions and delivery.
Agree on a common record
Apps could verify actions in different ways. Each recorded a Sustainability Proof that connected the verified action to the B3TR reward.
Use a weekly cycle
Proofs were aggregated weekly. The network voted on reward allocations, and apps used their allocations to reward further activity.
Keep the first release small
We prioritised the working reward cycle and a small set of apps. The team iterated after launch instead of trying to design the complete ecosystem in advance.
03 / THE RESULT
50+ ecosystem apps
The ecosystem grew to more than 50 apps and 2 million weekly onchain transactions, as reported in the portfolio. These measures describe ecosystem activity.
Ecosystem scale reported in the portfolio. The 60-day timeline refers to the initial release.
04 / REFLECTION
A shared record lets different applications participate without forcing them to verify every action in the same way.
